SMS terms

  • Last updated October 30, 2026

The text messages a business can send you through Handywright, and how to stop them.

Program name: Handywright service messages. Messages are sent by the home-service business you deal with, using Handywright (operated by The Plain Works Co., Ltd.). The SMS provider is not yet chosen; SMS is off until it is named here. Read the privacy policy and these terms before agreeing.

1.Consent

You are signed up only if you gave your mobile number to the business and agreed to texts. This is the wording shown wherever a number is collected:

By giving your mobile number you agree to get text messages from this business, through Handywright, about your appointments, quotes and invoices. Message frequency varies with your appointments, quotes and invoices. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

2.What you will get

Appointment confirmations and reminders, requests to reschedule, links to quotes, invoices and receipts, and replies to your questions. Message frequency varies with your appointments, quotes and invoices. Most people get about two to five messages per appointment. No marketing texts are sent under this program unless you separately agreed to them.

3.Stop and help

  • Reply STOP to any message to cancel. You will get one confirmation and no more texts.
  • Reply HELP for help, or write to hello@handywright.com (we answer within 2 business days).
  • You can opt back in by telling the business or replying START.

4.Cost and carriers

Msg & data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5.Not a condition of purchase

Agreeing to texts is not required to get a quote, buy a service or pay an invoice. You can ask the business to contact you by phone or email instead.

6.Your information

The business keeps a record of your agreement (the number, the wording shown and the time) for as long as it texts you. Your mobile number is used only to send these messages and is not shared with third parties for their marketing or for promotional purposes. See the privacy policy.
